UIREVI - Union Inter Régionales Victoire

Union Inter Regionale Victoire (UIREVI) is a coffee organization in the Ivory Coast founded in 2005, then consisting of 12 cooperatives. Today, UIREVI is present in at least 10 different regions of the country, with 25 active cooperatives and cocoa producer groups. Its capacity is estimated at 15,000 to 45,000 tons of cocoa per year. Since March 2009, UIREVI has been Fair Trade certified for coffee and cocoa. UIREVI aims to produce 15,000 to 20,000 tons of Fair Trade certified cocoa annually by 2011. Through Fair Trade production, UIREVI intends to improve the quality of their coffee and cocoa crops, the quality of life of their members, the level of education throughout the community, and attempt to tighten gender inequality gaps prevalent in the area.
