Stockholm Tea Estate

Stockholm Tea Estate was established more than 100 years ago when coffee plantations throughout the area were devastated by coffee rust fungus. The estate supports a community of some 2,000 people including workers’ dependants. The vast majority are descendants of Tamil laborers imported from South India 150 years ago to work on coffee, tea and rubber plantations.
